Custom Knitting
Julia Lee is an experienced designer and creator of one-of-a-kind knitwear and household textiles. Her designs are usually colourful, creative, and practical, with occasional forays into the whimsical and decorative. She design and creates large “knitted tapestries” for hanging on the wall. Other projects include unique sweaters and beautiful bedspreads. Smaller items include hot-water-bottle covers, fingerless mitts, and a line of cosy ponchettes. Julia uses both hand-spun and commercial yarns and has a strong preference for natural fibres like wool, alpaca, cotton, and silk.
Julia can design and create the perfect mittens, sweater, knitted tapestry, or whatever you want. You don’t have to provide a pattern but we will ask you some questions: Lace or cables? Snug or floppy? Classic or funky? In other words, you will be a partner in the design process. Don’t be scared – it’ll be fun!
